Thursday Mark left work early and we dove down to a place called Schnepf’s farm. We went through a corn maze, went on a little train ride through the orchard and around the farm, picked out pumpkins at the pumpkin patch, visited the petting zoo, went through a mini-maze, rode on some fun rides, watched some pig racing, and roasted marshmallows at a bonfire. It was a lot of fun. We got in at half-price for wearing our Halloween costumes, but it was sure hot wearing them! Fortunately, they had jugs of water and cups available throughout the place. The rides were included in the price of admission, so we went on all of them. My favorite ride reminded me of a combination of Mr. Toad’s wild ride and Indiana Jones. We got to pedal ourselves in a family jeep/bike/car through a little trail that had different scenes from various fairy tales. Mark was a crazy driver, and the road was kind of ridgy and bumpy, so it was a lot of fun.
Halloween was fun. We went to a few houses together, and then Christopher and Mark continued on while Michael and I stayed home to hand out candy. Michael was so excited to hand out the candy. There weren’t too many people who came, and he only handed out one piece of candy per trick-or-treater, so we ended up with a ton of candy at the end. I think Mark is really excited to have a girl. He kept pointing out all the princess costumes as we trick-or-treated together.
Saturday we went to Home Depot. The boys got to build their own fire trucks, and we got some pink paint for the baby’s room. Mark’s excited to be able to work on some projects again, now that his test is over.

I love the Halloween costumes. You guys look great. It sounds like you had a fun Halloween. Becca and I couldn't find any Halloween costumes for ourselves this year. Oh well, maybe next year.
